Step Up To The Plate

Welcome to The RIvlin Group's "Insights" blog, written by practitioners for practitioners.  We'll also include useful information, tips, industry analysis and commentary for clients, colleagues and friends of the firm.

The inaugural post title is simple, "Step up to the plate."

Using this baseball analogy, as we head towards the Fall Classic, is meant to increase our awareness.  As a batter steps up to the plate, they need to check all their surroundings; from other runners on base, to the position of the in-fielders and out-fielders, to the catcher crouched behind them, and to their own posture and strengths.  

By now, you must have heard about the technological changes impacting our profession and our clients.  Yet, there are still many of us that have shunned away from these developments.  For your sake, for your clients' sake, and for the profession's sake, take a step up to the plate and build your awareness.  

It could mean the difference between knocking one out of the park in the 9th or getting the beans knocked out of you.
